Overall Responsibilities

The primary function of the Production Director is to oversee the audio and visual production process of services and events. The Production Director is responsible for supervision and management of the video, visual, lightning and audio ministry leads and teams. They work with the Executive Ministry Director to enlist any necessary equipment and to inform them about budget needs and expected expenditure.

  2. Mastery (full comprehension and able to train) in Planning Center Online software (Services, Groups, Calendar)
  3. Demonstrate competence in FOH mixing and have a good grasp of current audio technology
  4. Thorough understanding of the operation and control of audio, lighting, video, and other production equipment
  5. Thorough understanding of sound and video editing and production software
  6. Proficiency with digital audio mixing consoles Behringer x32 (required) and Allen and Heath d’Live C3500 (preferred), projection software (ProPresenter) and lighting design software (MyDMX 3.0)
  7. Video editing experience (Final Cut Pro preferred)*
  8. Graphic design experience (Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom preferred)*
  9. In depth computer literacy on MAC
  10. Working knowledge of uploading video and audio files to internet
  11. Digital Audio Workstation experience preferred (Pro Tools, Logic, Ableton, Mainstage)
  12. Excellent computer skills Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  13. Quality monitoring skills to make improvements and corrections where necessary
  14. Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related areas (preferred)
  • Minimum of seven years of providing technical support to assigned live and taped television
  • news broadcasts and special programming
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent (required)
