The Empowerment House is an extension of the ministry of TKC, whose mission is to Encourage Enlighten, and Empower, communities through spiritual transformation, community & international outreach, and educational advancement. The Empowerment House will serve as a beacon of hope for families, as it will be used to empower those who have struggled financially, and are looking to make a fresh start.
Through the financial educational program provided by TKC, the occupant of the Empowerment House will be taught how to financially position themselves, for a positive change, through six months of financial classes. Topics for these classes will include, but are not limited to, financial literacy, credit counselling, and budgeting. To allow each occupant to successfully complete the program, by learning valuable financial principles, the occupant will pay a predetermined amount in rent to an escrow attorney for six months. This will help teach the occupant about budgeting and planning. At the end of the six-month program, the funds will be given back to the occupant to put towards a future home.
